C'est La Vie (St.Dog&TheDay)

In October 2013, St.Dog began work on their debut album, "Regicide_etc", due for release in March/April 2014. "Regicide is a concept album, from Prologue to Epilogue", says singer/guitarist Burt Fraser. "A lot is being said, politically, socially and personally. This is the most honest record to be put out in a long time, and I'll stand by that when people start prodding. No market-riding 'live while we're young' or 'tonight's all we've got' numbers. This record was therapy, for all of us. We somehow managed to say some pretty intense things on top of grooves sans minor. There's some rock 'n roll, some punk rock, pop with doo-wops and we may have even touched on some post-hardcore once or twice ha ha. What a ride! It's catchy, I think. Andy is a hook guitarist, his dad pounded them Beatles into the lad from a young age. Josh is a lead guitarist-turned-bassist, so running my rhythm lines was out of the question, he shreds the 4-string. And then Nathan on drums...nuf said. The lad has no respect for his body, a real Muppet, but the Van Gogh of self-taught drummers. We're all best friends, 3 of us have lived together for the past 2 years, I think that really helped us understand each other's capabilities and ideas."
